Trevoh Chalobah emulated his sibling Nathaniel in representing England, becoming the 21st duo of brothers to play for the national team.

The Chelsea defender is expected to link up with the Three Lions selection to cover for unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to meet up with the national side for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Serbia and Albania, although it has still not been made public.

The national side have already secured qualification for the upcoming competition.

Chalobah received his maiden call-up under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then played his first game against Senegal.

In the month of September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be excluded from the squad for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and also omitted him for the following October matches.

Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's development, having handed him his Chelsea first appearance in 2021.

Chalobah has featured in almost every fixtures for Chelsea this season, with the club third in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.

Guehi picked up a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League success over the Dutch side recently.

There are likely to be additional call-ups to the selection. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has confirmed that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) are set to pull out from the national team.
